What we collect, and why
If you send a quote request
The quote form on this website doesn’t send anything to us by itself. When you press Send by email or Send on WhatsApp, it opens your own email app or WhatsApp with your request typed out, and you choose whether to send it. If you do, we receive your name, phone number, the products and quantities you ask about, and anything you write in your message. Your business name, email address and delivery town are optional. We use these details only to prepare and send your quote, and to follow up on it.
If you phone, email or WhatsApp us
We keep the details you give us so we can help you and keep a record of orders. We don’t send you marketing messages unless you’ve asked us to.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic browser information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. We don’t use this information to identify you or to advertise to you.
Cookies and storage on your device
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores one small item in your own browser: the products in your quote list. It never leaves your device unless you send us a quote request. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from automated attacks.
If we ever add analytics or tracking cookies, we’ll ask for your permission first, and they’ll stay off until you agree.
Where your information is stored
- Emails and quote requests: in our business mailbox, hosted by [your email provider, e.g. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace].
- WhatsApp messages: on our business WhatsApp account. WhatsApp is run by Meta, under its own privacy policy.
- Website hosting and security: Cloudflare, which runs servers worldwide.
Some of these services store information outside South Africa. We only use providers bound by data protection laws comparable to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires. This website has no database, never stores your details on a server we run, and never asks for passwords or payment details.
We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
How long we keep it
- Quote requests: [24 months]. If a quote becomes an order, we keep the related records for as long as tax law requires, currently [five years].
- Website security logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period under its own retention rules.
Your rights
Under POPIA you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong or out of date
- ask us to delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it
- object to us using your information
- complain to the Information Regulator

How we protect your information
The website only works over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our email, WhatsApp and hosting accounts is limited to staff who need it and protected with two-factor authentication.
